Judd SteadAge 64, of Owosso, was called home Sunday, August 26, was born March 23, 1954, the son of Emerson and Maxine Stead. He graduated from Owosso High School in 1973. Judd was married to the love of his life, Barbara was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a friend to all who knew him. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter (bear, deer and turkey). Judd shared a love of classic cars with his father, his good friend Bruce Rathbun and his grandson Gabriel. Judd enjoyed moto-cross and trail riding; and over the years was active with bowling, slow-pitch softball and pool leagues. Judd was a member of the Lansing Muzzle Loading Gun Club, where he was a competitive shooter.Above all, Judd treasured his family. Whether it was taking Barb and the grandkids camping at Mackinaw; or lighting up holidays with fireworks, his pranks and sense of humor; or supporting his family in their interests; Judd loved worked as a lineman at GTE/Verizon for 35 years before retiring in 2008. Judd worked for Slingerland after is survived by his wife Barbara; his sons Christian (Amber) Fuller and Traverse (Andrea) Fuller; grandsons Gabriel and Kieran Fuller and Zak Awrey; siblings Jane (Frank) Bohil, Bonnie Case, Nancy (Ray) Doyle, Paul (Eileen) Lehman, Sam (Janet) Stead, and Patty (Clare) Weidman; many brothers-and-sisters -in law; special friends Larry Dumond and Tom Weir; and other loving family and friends; as well as his beloved pets, Jessie, Ozzie and was predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law, Marvin family wishes to thank Memorial Healthcare Hospice and Hospice House for their care and Judd’s request, there will be no services. Cremation has taken place.
