Juanita Sue (Moffitt) McGraw passed away on January 26, 2021, to join her beloved son, Dean, and her husband, Merlyn (Stucky) McGraw in heaven. Juanita was born in Calais, ME to Roy and Mae Moffitt. She attended the Immaculate Conception Parochial School and Memorial High School. Juanita then moved to Boston, MA in 1962 and worked for the Schraff Chocolate Factory until she married Merlyn McGraw on August 16, 1963.
She had a passion for traveling, loved mother nature, and visited most of the United States and Canada with Merlyn, including favorite trips from Washington State (which included visits to state parks, Seahawks games, the Space Needle, and Victoria Canada’s heavenly Butchart Gardens) to Las Vegas’s famous Siegfried and Roy show, as well as plentiful lobster, bakes with family and friends at camp in Maine. She enjoyed sharing the photo collection of her travels with friends and family and was a wonderful storyteller. She lived her life for her children and provided them with love and opportunity. We will miss her delightful sense of humor.
Juanita bravely fought multiple health issues in her later years and is resting peacefully now, safely wrapped in the arms of Jesus.
In addition to her parents, son, and husband, Juanita was preceded in death by her sister, Jean (Moffitt) Barry.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl McGraw of Jacksonville, FL and Patti McGraw of Orange Park, FL, brother, Verne Moffitt of Old Town, ME, two nephews, Peter Barry of Ocala, FL and Paul Barry of Boston, MA, her lifelong friends, Marilyn Cochran Moore of Cape Canaveral, FL and Linda Fox of Lenoir City, TN, Kitty Millie, and others.
