Juanita Lopez Gaona, 81, died Saturday, May 7, 2010 at the Sky Harbor Health Center in Yucca Valley, California. Juanita was born on June 16, 1929 in Hidalgo County, Texas. She was a 35 year resident of Ventura County and for the last 18 years she had been living in Desert Hot Springs, California. She was lovingly known to all as “Wella”.
Juanita has gone to be with our lord & to be reunited with her loving husband, Jose Cruz Gaona. She is survived by son, Mike Gaona and his wife Olivia; daughters, Adela Gaona; Mary Gilbert and husband John; daughter Lupe Morua and husband Juan Rodriguez; daughter Erma Del Rio and husband Benny; son Frank Gaona and his wife Yolanda and daughter Susie Robledo. Juanita had 22 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren and 35 great-great grandchildren.
Viewing is planned for Thurs., May 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m.
