Juan Manuel Gonzalez, age 92, of Harlingen, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday morning, April 25, 2022. He was born May 16, 1929, in Mission, Texas to Juan Ernesto Gonzalez and Maria Luisa Rojas. Juan was a skilled builder and to his enjoyment, often had many building projects. With his photographic memory, Juan loved recreating landscapes he viewed. Juan had worked for Tex-Steel Corporation for 20 plus years prior to his retirement. He will be dearly missed.
Juan is preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 58 years, the late Maria Magdalena Betancourt Gonzalez; his parents; brother, Ruben Gonzalez; and sisters, Ernila Gonzalez, Blanca Barron and Raquel Perez.
He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, his loving children, two sons, Juan Manuel Gonzalez Jr. (Melissa) and Hector Mario Gonzalez (Irma); two daughters, Gina Alvarez (Tony) and Maria Vinson (David); 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Juan Ernesto Gonzalez; sister, Hortencia Reyes; along with numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
