Juan Antonio Ortiz-Cruz, age 72, of Port St. Lucie, passed away unexpectedly on April 15, 2021.
Juan was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Juanita Cruz. His family moved from Puerto Rico to New York, where he entered the United States, Army serving during the Vietnam War. After the war, Juan worked as a Merchant Marine. After retirement, he moved from the Bronx to Port St. Lucie in 2014.
Juan enjoyed Bowling and playing softball. He also enjoyed Salsa dancing, going for walks, and riding his bike.
Juan was the beloved father of Xiomara Ortiz; the loving grandfather of Melissa Mendoza, Shayna Onyeche, and Nadia Onyeche; and the dear brother of Maria Aponte and Julio Ortiz.
