Passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Saginaw Senior Care & Rehab Center. She was 81 years old. Joyce Winifred Hunt was born October 29, 1937 in Risingsun, Ohio to the late Norman and Lucille (Morgan) Hunt. She married David Mikula on June 2, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan. Joyce attended MJ Murphy Beauty School, earning her beautician certification. She was self-employed as a beautician and owned the Chop Shop in Thomas Township, retiring after 20 years. Joyce was a faithful and active member of Saginaw First Assembly of God for over 40 years.
She loved spending time with her husband at their home on Cedar Lake where they enjoyed watching the many varieties of beautiful birds that came to visit their bird feeders. Joyce was an excellent cook and baker, she made beautiful cakes and delicious cookies. Joyce also enjoyed biking, crocheting, and gardening. What she really loved most was visiting with her family and spending time with her three grandsons, they were the light of her life.
Surviving are her husband, David; children, Kimberly (Michael) Fabish, Wendy (Jeffrey) Robnolte; grandchildren, Justin Fabish, Brendon Fabish, and Joshua Robnolte; five sisters, Wanda Foster, Mary (Nelson) Weiker, Zola (Orvan) Cusick, Bonnie Strong, and Naomi (Tom) Stark and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Harold (Esther) Hunt, brothers-in-law Angus Foster, Bruno Wendl, and Lawrence Strong.
