Joyce Seppi died peacefully on July 31, 2015 in Pocatello, Idaho at the age of 89.
She was born on April 6, 1926 in Grace, Idaho to her parents Floyd and Reta Dalton. She graduated from Lava Hot Springs High School in 1944. She married Leno Seppi on June 6, 1947.
Joyce and Leno lived in Lava Hot Springs their entire lives except for the 4 years spent in Cleveland, Ohio, where Leno attended dental school.
Joyce loved to play the piano and was an excellent bridge player. She had a passion for reading and volunteered at the Lava Hot Springs Elementary School helping to teach children the joy of reading. She was an avid supporter of Idaho State University.
Joyce’s greatest joy was her 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She made beautiful afghan blankets for each of her grandchildren and savored the time she spent with family. She will always be remembered for her unwavering strength, humor and love of family.
Joyce is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, (Kurt and Ann) of Boise, ID; a daughter and son-in-law (Lisa and Bill McNabb), of Pocatello, ID; and a son and daughter-in-law (Brian and Kathleen), of Spokane, WA; a sister and brother-in-law, (Shirley and Newt Lowe) of Lava Hot Springs, ID; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Leno, a daughter, Kathleen, a sister, Kae and a brother, Gary.
The family would like to express appreciation to the employees of Copper Summit Assisted Living and Heritage Home Health for the loving care our mom received over the last year.
