Funeral for Mrs. Joyce Russell Barnes, 55 of Decatur, Alabama will be 1:00 pm, Monday at United Pentecostal Jubilee House of Prayer with Bishop Thomas D.
Mrs. Barnes was born in Decatur, AL on May 3, 1959, the beautiful daughter of the late Lula Mae Jackson and the late John Thomas Holden. She departed this life on January 28, 2015 at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville, Alabama.
She gave her life to Christ at a young age and joined the Pentecostal House of Prayer.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lula Mae Jackson and her father John Thomas Holden, a twin sister, Joy Russell, a brother, Billy Ray Jackson, two nieces, Brittany Johnson and Marcia Johnson.
Joyce leaves to cherish her beautiful memory: two sisters, Willie Marie Johnson and Katherine Hamilton, both of Decatur; three brothers, Marvin Jackson of Decatur, Andrew James (Emma Sue) Jackson and Henery Lewis Jackson both of Hillsboro; a special friend, Amanda Spangler of Decatur; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
