LISBON – Joyce R. Boudreau, age 73, died at 3:07 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. She was born May 8, 1945 in New Brighton, PA, the daughter of the late Ralph L. and Laura O. (Wall) Mitsch.
Joyce was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church in Salem and a 1963 graduate of New Brighton High School in New Brighton, PA. She received her Nursing Diploma at Jameson School of Nursing in New Castle, PA, a BSN Degree from YSU, Master’s Degree in Nursing at Akron University. Joyce was an Operating Room Nurse at Beaver Valley Medical Center, a nurse at Salem Regional Medical Center, a Child Birth Educator for Columbiana County, taught at Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing, taught nursing at High School Vocational Programs in Trumbull County, was an Associate Professor at Kent State University, and was a Health Occupations Director for 13 years at the Ohio Department of Education.
Survivors include her husband, Paul D. Boudreau, whom she married August 20, 1976; three sons, Michael J. Mills of Slippery Rock, PA, Brian D. (Abbey) Boudreau of Odenton, MD and Joseph A. (Reneé) Boudreau of Etna, OH; a step-daughter, Linda (Shawn) McDonald of Leominster, MA; a sister, Ardys (Donnie) Rutherford of Lutz, FL, and many grandchildren.
Two sisters, Linda Mitsch and Arla Keiper also preceded her in death.
