Joyce Lea (King) Packard, 86, of Viola entered into the loving arms of her Savior on November 12, 2017. She was born on May 24, 1931, south of Potlatch, Idaho at the family home on Rock Creek Road, to Kenneth & Helen (Mustian) King. She attended school in Potlatch, Idaho, graduating in 1950. She met Cecil Packard in May of 1949 and they were married in August of 1950. Fifty days after their wedding, they moved to San Diego as Cecil was called back into the Navy. Their first son was born in San Diego and when they moved back to the Moscow area in 1952, two more sons and a daughter were born. Joyce and Cecil moved to Viola in 1959 and lived in the area for the remainder of their lives. Joyce loved being a mother to her four children and was an excellent homemaker.
