Joyce A. McClaran, 62, of Galien, Michigan died Monday, January 5, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Joyce was born February 24, 1946 in Niles, Michigan to Lewis J. and Lillie Mae (Ender) Lambert.
She graduated from Galien High School in 1964, and on September 5, 1964 she married Jimmie McClaran at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church in Galien. Joyce played the organ at church since she was 12 and also enjoyed playing the piano. She was employed at the Blue Chip Casino. Joyce collected angels.
She loved taking vacations and being around her family.Survivors include her husband, Jimmie; children, Tammy Sue (Mike) Kanous of Galien; Dawn Marie Stoepker (Hafid Douiri) of Galien; Mark (Jennifer) McClaran of Buchanan, Michigan; grandchildren, Carmen, Chelsea, Brooke, Emily, Mark, Alexis, Haylee, Sukina, Logan and Muhsen; mother, Mae Lambert of Galien; brother, Lewis (Betty) Lambert of Galien; sisters, Nancy (Matthew) Bradley of Buchanan, MI; Diane and Kevin Beadles of Galien; and Evelyn (Timothy) Freehling of Sturgis, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her father in 1969, nephew Randy Lambert in 1997 and sister, Sandra Briggs in 2006.
