Joyce Mary Talbot, 90, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on August 30, 2022. She was born to parents, Mabel Joyce and Paul Holt, on August 5, 1932 in Shelton, CT. Later, she lived in Winsted, CT where she spent much of her life. She met her husband, Theodore J. Talbot, at work in New Hartford, CT and they were married on September 26, 1955.
Joyce & Ted remained happily married for 57 years before his passing in 2012. Together, they raised 4 children: Ted Talbot, Jr., (Deborah), Cynde Judy (Bill), and twins, Gary Talbot (Alaina) and Glen Talbot. She is survived by her sisters, Lorraine Cuatt, and Francis (Pudge) Millahn; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Paul Holt Jr., and sister, Yvonne Wabrek.
Joyce was well loved by the community; she once owned and operated the Winsted Bake & Ice Cream shop, later she worked as a Parking Control Authority with the Winsted Police Department, retiring after 13 years of service. Upon retiring, she and husband moved to Carthage, NY to be close to their daughter, and later, she moved to Myrtle Beach, SC. She had an infectious laugh, a warm heart and many great memories to share of her life.
