Joyce ended her successful career, retiring in 2003 from Intel, in Portland, Oregon.

Her skill of keeping scientists and engineers organized and moving forward was unprecedented, earning her many awards.

“Joy” as she was known by, had many friends and loved ones throughout the United States. She enjoyed outdoor adventures with family and friends such as camping, snowmobiling, mushroom hunting, horseback riding, or just a leisurely drive through Ohio, Idaho, Oregon, and Tennessee.

Mom and Dad were always active and loved to travel.

Joy was an avid reader, loved classical music, gardening, cooking, and Bible studies with her sisters-in-law.

One of the favorite things that her children loved about her, was her incredible cooking and baking! They would always get into trouble for sneaking into the baked goods while she wasn’t looking.

She will be greatly missed!

The family is extremely grateful for One Source Hospice, for the exceptional end-of-life care, a BIG Thank you to the nurses and CNAs who went above and beyond to ensure Mom was comfortable, as well as Dad (her 24-hr. primary care giver) during this transition.

The family would also like to thank all involved for your love, prayers, support, and well wishes, as we grieve the loss of Joyce.
