Joyce M. Hunt, 87, left this world to meet her Savior on May 10, 2020 in Bay City, Michigan. She was born on December 7, 1932 to Herb and Irene Whitehair in Topinabee, Michigan. Herb worked with the New York Central Railroad as a clerk, and the family moved around Michigan until Joyce was in the fourth grade, when they settled in Bay City.

Joyce graduated from T.L. Handy High School in 1950, and would get together every month with a dear group of ladies that met seventy five years ago in their junior high school days in Bay City.

After graduation, she went to work as the secretary for the editor of the Bay City Times, which is where she met the love of her life, Pat Hunt. They were married at Westminster Presbyterian Church on March 29, 1952. In later years, she managed the office of the late Dr. Robert Hafford until her retirement.

Joyce loved ice skating and the Detroit Tigers, and as a young girl, she was the only girl that the boys on the Fillmore Street Boulevard would allow to play ball with them. As an adult she was very involved with her church, and served in many roles as a Sunday School teacher, librarian, working with the Food for Faith community outreach, and on the session there at Westminster.

She is survived by her sons, Johnny (Kathye) and Jeff (Maureen), who had the privilege, joy, and honor of caring for her in the final weeks of her life, by her sister, Shirley of Chelsea, Michigan, granddaughter, KT, David and Drew and her great grandchildren, Liliana and Lucy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat in 1992, parents, Herb and Irene and her sisters, Jackie and Barb.

At the request of Mrs. Hunt cremation has taken place.
