Joyce M. Bowers, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014. Joyce was born July 14, 1934 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of the late Jack and Mattie Phillips Munger. She was a resident of Michigan for many years and was a graduate of Portage Central High School. Joyce had been employed as a secretary for the Plainwell Schools for many years. On July 31, 1953, she married Paul Bowers, who survives. Joyce is also survived by their daughters, Lori Zuidema of Kalamazoo, Teri Steve Kurtz of Kalamazoo and Julie David Newhouse of Vicksburg; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; her brother, Jack Helen Munger of AZ; one nephew. Joyce was a member of Twin Lakes Reformed Church and loved her Lord and Savior more than anything.
She enjoyed golfing, crafts, watching her hummingbirds and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.
