Born January 10, 1938 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Raymond and Lorraine Bowman Smith.
Joyce was employed by Kiddy Kar and Keystone Friction Hinge. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking and crafts and being with her beloved dog “Muffin”. She loved her family which was the upmost importance in her life.
Surviving is her mother Lorraine Smith of Williamsport; her children, Linda Minniti of York, Sheri Baity of Covington, Donald Barnes of Pensacola, FL, Samuel Barnes of Vacaville, CA, sisters; Beverly Ticey, Sally Allison, brothers; Howard, Raymond, and Albert Smith , step-brothers George and Joe Kadash, step-sisters; Arbutus Focht, Naomi Hoover, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Barnes on April 4, 2001 and two brothers; Ronnie and Winfred Smith, and a step-sister, Vivian Schrepple.
