Joyce K Matthews
PERRY – Joyce Kunzler Matthews, 86 passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at her home.
Joyce was born on November 1, 1929 a daughter to David and Julia Lillian Baker Kunzler. She was raised in Willard on the family farm. Joyce graduated from Box Elder High School and attended Weber Academy.
Joyce married Jay Matthews on November 8, 1948 in the Logan LDS Temple.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings and served as a Stake Missionary. She was a member of the Utah Daughters of Pioneers.
Surviving are her sons: Randy (Robin) Matthews, Perry; John Gaylen (Darla) Matthews, Phoenix, AZ; 5 grandchildren: Shay, Cami, Braylen, John, Ashley and 6 great-grandchildren: Marley, Decker, Jagger, Reece, John and Beau. Also surviving are her siblings: Earl (Frinnie) Kunzler, Velda Kay (Hal) Chipman and Ralph (Nancy) Kunzler.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Jay, siblings: Raymond Kunzler, Willard Kunzler, Grant Kunzler, Iris Messervy, Barbara Kelly and Rex Kunzler.
