Joyce K Birch, 69, of Anderson, passed away on October 1, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born on March 25, 1943 in Anderson, Indiana where she resided all of her life. She retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after thirty years of service. She was active in Greyhound Pets of America and enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing, doing crafts and most importantly spending time with her grandkids. Joyce is survived by her longtime companion, Dennis Achenbach, son, Eric Hoppes, daughter, Lisa Greg Branham Edwards, four granddaughters whom she adored, Alexis Henderson, Jessica Gray, Logan Doodlebug Edwards and Kenzie Edwards. Great-grandchild, Amari Wilkerson, Siblings: Mark Scales, Jim Coffman, Steve Jeannette Coffman, Sara Jerry Rich and Betsy Mabrey and several nieces and nephews. Dear friends, Melva, Karen and Naomi also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Mary Finney and Fred Scales Jr. and mother and father-in-law: Helen and Hercules Hoppes.
