Joyce Jaquith, 90, of Estherville, formerly of Spirit Lake passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Aspire Care Center in Estherville, IA. Joyce was born April 1, 1931, to John and Merle (Devlin) Helter in Mt. Lake, MN.

The family moved to Pocahontas, AR, where they had a dairy business. Upon graduation from St. Paul’s Catholic School, she moved to New York City. She worked as a bookkeeper for Lord and Taylor department store in the Empire State building where she met her future husband Frank R. Jaquith, Sr. They had three children, Bill, Anne, and Frank Jr. After her husband got transferred to Chicago, they moved to the moved to Addison, IL, where they made their home for nine years. They moved to Spirit Lake in 1968 where her husband managed the family farm. She was dearly loved by her family. She enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves. Her unshakable catholic faith was her constant companion in her journey through life. She was a kind, loving, beautiful person and be forever missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank Sr., and daughter Anne.

She is survived by her sons Bill (Gwen) Jaquith of Hot Springs, AR; and Frank Jaquith, Jr. of Spirit Lake; grandsons Travis Jaquith of Sioux Falls, SD; and twins Payton and Taylor Jaquith of Cedar Falls, IA; Sisters Margaret Anderson of Pocahontas, AR; and twin Joan Frohwitter of Dittmer, MO; and many loving nieces and nephews.
