Joyce Eileen Price, March 1, 1927 – June 4, 2016.
Joyce Eileen (Allen) Price, 89, of Belton and formerly of Antwerp, New York passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016 in Belton, Texas following a time of declining health. Joyce was born on March 1, 1927 in Oxbow, New York, the youngest child of Dewitt and Inez (Campbell) Allen. She graduated from Antwerp High School in 1945 and later from Syracuse Beauty School.
She owned and operated a beauty shop in the family home for several decades. Joyce was a member of the First Congregational Church in Antwerp, the Church Women’s Group, and the Antwerp Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She married Stanley Price on November 8, 1947 at Theresa Presbyterian Manse with the Rev. John Flikkema officiating. Stanley preceded her in death in May of 2004.
Survivors include her daughters Janet Price of Temple and Bethany Price of Temple, son-in-law Harold Weaks of Temple, as well as a niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Jeannette and Bethany, and brother Wilson Allen.
