Joyce Daniel Wells, 88, of Colonial Heights, passed away peacefully, Friday, August 9, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Petersburg, the daughter of the late Willis Lee Daniel and Elizabeth Cheely Daniel. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Franklin Wells, and her grandson Cayden Andrew Brenya. She was a charter member of Colonial Christian Church in Colonial Heights, a former employee of Southside Regional Medical Center, formerly known as Petersburg General Hospital. After graduating from Stuart Circle Hospital School of Nursing in 1957 as the most outstanding nurse, she worked as a highly regarded and skilled nurse for 40 plus years.
