Joyce Carolyn (Jones) Huskey, age 88, formally of New Smyrna Beach, went to be with our Lord and Savior peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Sunday, November 6, 2022, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Joyce enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking, gardening, love for old classic movies, and animals of every kind. She was a cafeteria lunch lady at several local schools in the New Smyrna Beach area where she and her husband settled after her husband James had served our great country in the United States Air Force for nearly twenty-two years.
Joyce is survived by four sons, James (Julie) Huskey, of Keystone Heights, FL; Howard (Sharon) Huskey, of Glen St. Mary, FL; Troy (Vicki) Huskey, of Keystone Heights, FL; Allen Huskey, of New Smyrna Beach, FL; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and countless friends; special mention to her caregiver and loving grandson Howard Reuben Hardy (William Mayhood IV) of Minneapolis, MN. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver Earl and Essie Lou Jones; the love of her life, husband James of 46 years; two daughters, Pamela Metcalf, and Brenda Medeiros; three brothers, Monroe, Harold (Mildred), and Earl; and one sister Corrine (Ted).
