Joyce Batton Register, 67, of Bostwick, passed from this life on Friday, October 22, 2021, at Baptist South Medical Center in Jacksonville following a brief illness.
A native of Orange Park, she resided in Bostwick for over 50 years moving there from Green Cove Springs. Joyce had worked several places over the years including 10 years as a manager with the Huntley Jiffy Stores, as an insurance agent with the Independent Life (now American General) Insurance Company, and then for 10 years with Georgia Pacific. She was a member of Bostwick Baptist Church.
She was preceded by her parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 50 years, Donald K. Register, Sr, 2 daughters, Cheri Huddleston (Bill) and Kelly Altman (Eric), a son, DK Register (Stephanie), 3 brothers, Dale Batton (Missy), Danny Batton (Diana) and Gary Batton (Sherri), 6 grandchildren, Alex Robinson (Seth), Tyler Register (Emily), Kelsie Phelps (Luke), Erika Ward (Clayton), Thomas Altman and Weston Huddleston (Joanna) and 3 great-grandchildren, Camden Register, Emory Register, and Tinsley Huddleston.
