TRIEMSTRA, Joyce Ann of Kalamazoo. Joyce Ann Triemstra was born May 15, 1947, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the daughter of Kernie and Ann Taylor Haigler and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 26, 2011, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was a longtime area resident and had worked as an instructor at KVCC and in data control at First of America Bank.
Joyce was a member of Agape Christian Church and attended Bible Study Fellowship. She also enjoyed traveling, camping, reading and walking, but the most important part of her life was her Lord and her family. On November 10, 1972, she was united in marriage to Duane T. Triemstra, who survives.
Also surviving are their sons, Scott Michelle Triemstra of Kalamazoo, Kevin Triemstra of Minneapolis, MN, and Daniel Amanda Triemstra of Kalamazoo; two grandchildren, Michaela and Ryan; her sister, Maggie Alan Deal of Madison, WI; in-laws, Ronald Linda Triemstra, Richard Jean Triemstra and Sharon Jim Modderman; and nieces and nephews. Preceding Joyce in death was her parents and a brother-in-law, David Triemstra.
