Joyce Ann Randolph Wiggins was born October 2, 1958 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Minnie Randolph Moore and Pudding Alexander. She departed this life on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Athens, Alabama.
She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and later joined First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend Herbert Cartwright Jr. She often worshipped with her daughter at Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church in Athens, Alabama where the Reverend Dr. Ernestine Mason serves as pastor.
Before becoming disabled, Joyce worked as a nursing assistant in the home health industry.
She was preceded in death: both parents, Minnie Randolph and Pudding Alexander; husband, Michael O’Neal Wiggins; five brothers, John EL Davis, Robert Earl Randolph Sr., Charles Edward Randolph, Richard Thorne Jr., and Minister William Edward Hubbard; one sister, Annie Mae Mullins; one niece, Makeisha Monique Hamilton and a special aunt, Mille Randolph Reynolds.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters, Katrina R. (Quinlan) Parker, Tangela R. (Gaven) Russell both of Athens, Franchesca Randolph, her baby girl of Decatur; two stepdaughters, Dominique Watkins and Chuntelle Sanford both of Decatur; five grandchildren, LaDerrick Thomson, Desha Patrick, Trevienna Whitman, Anthony Harris, LaHarria Malone; four sisters-in-law, Irene W. (Harold) Elliott, Patricia Garvin, Connie W. Harris both of Decatur and Felicia Hubbard of Florence; two brothers-in-law, Stanley Wiggins of Decatur and Johnny (Connie) Wiggins of Las Vegas, Nevada and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
