Joyce A. Kurtz, 80 of Freeport died Monday, October 18, 2010, at her home. Born July 19, 1930, in Freeport she was the daughter of Arthur and Martha (Ruthe) Klosa. On December 22, 1948, she married Richard Kurtz in Bowling Green Kentucky and he preceded her in death in 2003. Joyce worked with her husband at the family business Kurtz Motor Trucks.
She is survived by her two sons, Darrell (Alice) Kurtz of Freeport and Rick Kurtz of Madison, WI; one daughter, Kathy Kurtz of Freeport; one brother, Henry (Matilda) Klosa of Freeport; three sisters, Eileen (Don) Meyer of Dubuque, IA, Nonie (Jim) Burds of Thornton, CO and Sandy (John) Butler of Forreston; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Arthur Klosa Jr., and Joe Klosa, and one son Robert Kurtz.
