Joyanna Lynett (Boyette) Shorts, 54, of Satsuma, passed from this life unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Putnam Community Medical Center. She was a native of Bethesda, MD, and had lived in Putnam County since 1982. After graduating high school, Joyanna attended college where she earned a degree in nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 25 years and in her leisure time enjoyed reading, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her father, Arthur E. Shorts, Jr., and former husband, Gregory Boyette.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas G. Boyette and Tyler A. Boyette (Amber), mother, Joyce Shorts, all of Satsuma, sisters, Tracy Winchester of Georgia, and Penny Merson (Lucky) of Maryland, 4 grandchildren, Raquel Boyette, Noah Williams, Natalie Sanchez, and Brady Boyette, 4 nieces, Melanie, Tiffany, Virginia and Ciara, nephew, Dalton, 4 great-nephews as well as 2 great-nieces.
