Joy Plummer Black of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 18, 1942 in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Roy and Mavis Gately Plummer. She was a graduate of North Little Rock High School where she was a cheerleader for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sheridan, and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed shopping, sun bathing, dancing to James Brown music, drinking wine, and watching soap operas. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.
Joy passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at UAMS at the age of 78.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
