Joy Bennett, 83, of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021, at The Springs in Lafayette.
She was born July 20, 1937, in Patricksburg, IN to the late Loris J. and Melva I.( Purl) Biddle.
Joy attended Monitor High School. Her first marriage was to Carl “Bud” Light Jr. in 1953 they later divorced, and she then married Donald Bennett and they too later divorced.
Joy worked as a Clerk for Wells-Yeager-Best Pharmacy in Lafayette for many years.
She enjoyed reading in her free time . Over the years she had several pets; Buttons, Sable and Buddy that were very special to her. She enjoyed watching the grandchildrens activities and participating in and hosting family events.
Surviving are daughter, Charlotta (Mike) Parnell, son, Carl “Jake” (Jane) Light of Lafayette, daughter, Belinda (Herb) Martin of Brookston, brother, James Biddle of Lafayette, sister, LaDonna Green of Sheridan, sister, Bonnie (Don) Moore of Flora, Grandchildren- Trisha, Eric, Kristy, Craig, Kent, Tiffany, Justin. Great grandchildren – Jaden, Olivia, Samantha, Riley, Teagan, Blythe, Rose and Sylas.
Joy was preceded in death by her brother, Richard, sisters Sue and Diana and grandson Kyle Light.
