Joslyn ‘Jo’ King was called home by her Lord on August 9, 2017. She was 81 years old. Joslyn Baker was born in Hess, Oklahoma, on October 3, 1935. She was the baby of the family, the youngest of five children by 10 years. Although she was close to her sisters Faye and Darlene, and extremely fond of her brother Sam, it was her sister Helen who held an especially dear place in her heart. While her mother and father worked the small family farm, it was Helen who primarily cared for little Jo. The family eventually moved to Duncan, Oklahoma, and Jo always referred to this small prairie town as ‘home.’ She graduated from Duncan High School with honors in 1953. Soon after, she moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, to live with her sister Helen and work as a bookkeeper.
