Joshua Ray Smith was born on May 9, 1994 in Huntsville, Alabama to Ray Smith and the late Sierra Stevens, who was killed in an automobile accident on May 9, 1994 while pregnant with Little Joshua. He departed this life on August 6, 2015 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Decatur General Campus.
Joshua was baptized at Pennylane Church of Christ and later united with Moulton Heights Church of Christ. He was a 2015 graduate of Hartselle High School.
He was preceded in death by his mother; his uncle, Billy Jones who took care of him from the hospital after birth and raised him as his son.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving aunt, who raised him as her child, Deborah Stevens Jones of Hartselle; father, Ray Smith of Decatur; a sister, Traci Jones (Gregory) Sumter of Myrtle Beach, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
