On February 24th 2019 the world lost one of its brightest lights. Joshua Michael Leipold ( a.k.a Build A Bear) passed away in his Wasilla home. His death was sudden and unexpected leaving his family stunned and heartbroken. Josh left behind his brothers Ryan Sol, Justice Leipold, and Tyler Gleasonhis sister’s Jordan Gleason, Holly Mitchell Dickinson, and Dana Cox. Joshua also left his parents Kallie Jo Fontenot and James Gleason.
Joshua will always be remembered and admired as a person who lived life on his own terms no matter what anyone else thought. He stood up for what he believed in and was a confidant to many. He was thoughtful, protective of everyone who cared about, and fearless. Josh was simply who he wanted to be and lived true to himself beyond anything else and for that he will be the subject of his family’s stories to tell future generations about. Joshua will be remembered as always having a smile on his face and having a talent to make others laugh no matter how down they were. He was truly a bright shiny glittery fabulous ray of light that left everyone he knew better than he found them. While his friends and family are greatly saddened by his passing. We take comfort knowing that he is skateboarding in heaven visiting with stepmom Glenda and hanging out with his best friend Kat.
