Josephine Rose Forlivio Cossuto, 81, passed into her eternal rest Sunday, November 7, 2010.
She was born to the late Ottavio and Adeline Franco Forlivio on December 9, 1928 in New Canaan. Her siblings include Helen McConnell, Angelina Nicastro, Mary Monaco, and Louise Thompson, and she was pre-deceased by siblings Ottavio Forlivio, James Forlivio, John Forlivio, Paula (Polly) Nicastro, Margaret (Maggie) Nicastro, and Frances Russo. She was a life-long resident of Norwalk.
Josie worked her entire life in the Norwalk area, most recently as a school crossing guard for the Norwalk School system.
Josie is survived by a daughter, Karen Cossuto Fraser of Fort Worth, Texas along with husband, Christopher and their three children, Kyle, Connor, and Cameron. She is also survived by a son, Thomas Paul Cossuto of Alpharetta, Georgia, wife Maeve, and their three children, Thomas, Daniel and Rose.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including close friend and sister-in-law Marion Forlivio and her children, Ottavio, John and Adeline; and Charlotte Merritt and her two children, James and Kimberly.
Josie touched many lives with her kind heart, her sense of humor and her ability to develop a special connection with everyone with whom she came in contact. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all of us who have been lucky enough to know her.
