Josephine Rita Russo, age 85, of Milford, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and friends on Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Angelo M. Russo.
Josephine was born on December 4th, 1923, the daughter of Damiano Fino and Angelina Scippa Fino. One of ten children, Josephine is survived by her brother George Fino of Southbury, Theresa Renzulli of Milford, Dominick Fino of Derby and Rose Adams of Ansonia. Josephine was the beloved mother of Michael Russo of Guilford and Donna Reis of Rye, NY. Mother-in-law of David Reis and grandmother of Aaron, Annie and Alexander Reis.
Josephine resided in Milford for sixty five years and was a long time employee and retiree of Bic Pen Corp. Josephine enjoyed cooking and was an avid gardener. As one of the first residents of Laurel Gardens of Milford (now Carriage Green) Josephine was a well loved friend and neighbor, a jig saw puzzle specialist whose puzzles currently beautify the walls at Carriage Green. Josephine loved bird watching through her African violet filled windows of her residence. The family would like to extend their appreciation to all of the caregivers who provided such compassionate care to Josephine.
