Josephine Pulliman, 80, of Elkhart, went to rest with the Lord at 12:20 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011.

She was born April 13, 1931, in Sikeston, Mo., to George L. and Odessa (Chandler) Forrest Sr. On Aug. 21, 1972, she married Lawrence Pulliman in St. Joseph, Mich. He preceded her in death Dec. 31, 1976.

Mourning her loss are her children, Larry Curry of Carbondale, Ill., Gilda Curry-Sanders of Chicago, Cory F. (Jeannette) Pulliman of Denver, Linda (Emanuel) Forrest-Norman of Elkhart, Toneisha Pulliman of Elkhart and Kateara Pulliman of Elkhart; eight grandchildren, Sean, Tiffany, Corey Steven, Miles, Davena, Yolanda, Candice and Renna; three great-grandchildren, Alycia, Christian and Justice; and a special friend, Mitchell Bramley.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Forrest Jr., and four sisters, Mattie Brown, Mercedes Forrest, Wyzella Simmons and Oreatha Davis.

A devoted Christian, Josephine served on the Community Baptist Missionary Church Board. She was a loving homemaker, and her greatest pleasures in life were cooking and helping people. She will be greatly missed from all our lives.
