Josephine Caramanico, of Aston, passed away  peacefully at her home on October 27, 2022. Born Giuseppina Chieffo on November 15, 1920 in Bagnoli Irpino, Italy, she moved to America in 1929. She grew up in Marcus Hook, PA and in 1942 moved to Aston Township. She was a resident of Aston and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for 80 years.

Wife of the late Joseph Caramanico, daughter of the late Giuseppi & Antoinette Chieffo. Sister of the late Connie Dennis, Mary Starrantino, Nicholas Chieffo, Benjamin Chieffo, and Anthony Chieffo.

Survivors: Loving mother of Joseph “Jim” Caramanico and Thomas (Nancy) Caramanico. She is also survived by her grandchildren Dawn, Rebecca, Emily, Carol, and her great grandchildren Alyssa, Alexis, and Kayla.

Josephine worked at John’s Foodarama, and at the Penn Oakes Country Club for years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, listening to Italian music, traveling, visiting the casinos, and spending time with her family.
