Josephine “Jo” Sellers, 87, of Anderson, passed away on September 20, 2020. She was born on June 1, 1933 in Anderson, Indiana where she resided all of her life. She was a parishioner at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Anderson where she served as an Eucharistic Minister and volunteered with their hospice services for 15 years.
She also volunteered at both hospitals in town and served as treasurer with Compassionate Friends. Jo was an avid reader, and was the matriarch of her loving family. Jo is survived by her children, Sharon (Bill) Davis, Mike Sellers, Steve (Tracy) Sellers, and Jeff (Heather) Johnson; grandchildren, Jason (Jenn) Hudson, Kristi (Troy) Stewart, Wes Sellers, and Kim (Matt) Even; and great-grandchildren, Alissa, Logan, Alyssa, Tyler, Maddie, Henry, and Mason.
Also surviving is her brother, Bernard (Annette) Staggenburg, and several other extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Bob Sellers; parents, Kathryn and Herman Staggenburg; daughter, Kathy Johnson; granddaughter, Jenni George, and great-grandson, Austin Sutton.
