Josephine G. Plaxa Norwich, CT – Josephine Georgine Plaxa, 76 of Washington St. Norwich formerly of Shenadoah, PA passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Yale – New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. She was the daughter of Anthony and Maria Pronio of Shenadoah, Pa., who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by sister Mafalda Muntone and brother Carlo Pronio. Josephine is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years Michael Plaxa, her son Randall Plaxa, brother Albert Pronio, sister Mary Hertz, granddaughter Kara Morgan Plaxa and numerous nieces and nephews. Josephine graduated from Shenadoah High School 1952. She worked as a store accountant for J.C. Penny, Shenadoah, Pa and as an accountant with the Dauphin Deposit Bank in Harrisburg, Pa. after working at the bank Josephine along with her husband and son own and operated J.M. Randall’s Restaurant in Williamsburg, Va. Josephine was the J in J.M. Randall’s. She as entirely committed to her loving family and dear friends. Nothing in the world meant more to her than ensuring the happiness and well-being of those she loved. She devoted her life to family and being a homemaker. Josephine was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Norwich, CT. She was a member of many civic / Charity fundraising organizations. Josephine’s loving and maternal spirit touched all that she came to know and as a dedicated wife and lifelong partner to husband Michael Plaxa. She will be missed and cherished. Michael and Randall Plaxa would like to thank the critical care unit staff of doctors and nurses of the Yale-New Haven Hospital, Backus Hospital and the responding EMTs and Helicopter crew for all the selfless work and dedication.
