Josephine DeCaro, 85 years young, of Holiday City South, in Toms River, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Josephine was born in Manhattan, NY and lived in Brooklyn, NY before moving to New Jersey. She was a dedicated and skilled bookkeeper in New York City before retiring. Josephine loved bowling, playing cards, and trips to Atlantic City with her best friend and husband of 59 years, Frank. Josephine’s love language was cooking, and she was an amazing cook. She was the heart and soul of the family which always came first.
She was a true matriarch with a heart of gold and a contagious laugh. Josephine was a caregiver and put others before herself. To know her was to love her. She was a genuine “Ray of Sunshine”. Josephine is predeceased by her parents, Gaetano and Santa Fedele and her siblings, Theresa Principe and Dominick Fedele. Surviving is her beloved husband, Frank DeCaro, who is known for sharing that she was his angel and “Every Year was Better”; her son Joseph DeCaro and his wife Madelin of Milltown, NJ; her daughter Maria Ali of Las Vegas, NV; her brother Michael Fedele and his wife Terry of Poughkeepsie, NY; her sisters Mary DeMarco of Brick, NJ and Domenica “Dee” Kerin of Virginia Beach, VA; her grandchildren Joseph, Jaclyn, Cyrus, Jeremy, Stephanie and Fasil and her great grandchildren Connor and Nicholas.
