Josephine (Darosz) Stawski, 100, of Newington died on Thursday, Sep. 10, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter John Stawski. Born in Poland, she was a Newington resident for the last 75 years. Josephine was a seamstress for many years and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and gardening. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church. Survivors include her children: Walter J. Stawski and his wife Rose of Newington, Mary Peterson of Lake Geneva, WI, Frances Picchioni of Westbrook, her five grandchildren: James and Christopher Stawski, Mary Catherine Yost, Elizabeth Beinhauer, John W. Peterson, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters and her brother.
