Mrs. Josephine S. Taylor was born to T.J. Snipes and Geneva White Snipes on March 12, 1944 in Orange County, NC. She departed this life on October 14, 2018.
Josephine was raised in Burlington, NC and was a very hard worker, a loving mother, sister and friend.
She is survived by: her baby sister, Nancy Jane Headen (Jimmy); her daughters, Denise Taylor, Carol Taylor and Laquesha Taylor Scales (Jason); her sons, James W. Taylor, Sr. and Tony L. Taylor (Cassandra); Kamari Scales, who was “Meemaw’s Poopy”; mama’s heart, the grandchild she thought she’d never have (Josephine helped raised her from day one of Kamari’s life); a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mama fought a hard and long battle with her illness, but she is in no more pain. She’s at peace.
Life like a mist appears for just a day
Then disappears tomorrow.
All that we are can quickly fade away
Replaced with tears and sorrow.
If a man should die, can he live again?
Hear the promise God has made:
He will call; The dead will answer.
They will live at his command.
For he will have a longing
For the work of his own hand.
So have faith, and do not wonder,
For our God can make us stand.
And we will live forever
As the work of his own hand.
