Josephine A. Ureta, 90
Josephine moved to Alamogordo in 2000 to be close to her daughters.
She passed peacefully in her home with her daughter, Nora and her granddaughter, Raquel by her side.
She will always be remembered fondly for her sense of humor and was always making people laugh.
She loved Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She loved gardening and up until the time when her health declined had the most beautiful flower garden in her backyard, with yellow roses, hollyhocks and lots of larkspur.
She loved her dog, Chiquita, who was with her until her last minute.
At her request, she will be cremated.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ureta, Sr. in 1998 and her son Frankie Ureta in 1998.
She is survived by her daughters, Nora Fields and husband Jeffrey of Alamogordo and Dolores Bustamante and husband Frank of Ruidoso Downs, NM; sisters, Mary D’andrea and husband Albert of Ft. Stockton, TX and Dora Ramirez and husband Zeke of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Loretta Fields of McKinney, TX, Priscilla Bustamante of Denver, CO, Adrienne Fields of San Antonio, TX, Raquel Ureta Seewald of Baynton Beach, FL, Jennifer Fields-Stanard of New Orleans, LA, Hector (Dirky) Bustamante of Taylorville, IL, Michael Bustamante of Ruisodo Downs, NM, Christina Ureta of Houston, TX, Jeff Fields of Tucson, AZ and Jillian Bustamante of Houston, TX; ten great grandchildren and one great, great grandson.
The Rosary will be recited at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 7 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010.
