Mr. McClain passed away March 23, 2008, in Sun City, Arizona.

SUN CITY, Ariz. a€” Joseph Warner McClain, 90, Sun City, Ariz., died Sunday, March 23, 2008.

Born Nov. 7, 1917, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Charles and Mary McClain.

He was a 1939 graduate of Purdue University majoring in electrical engineering. He retired after 35 years with RBM United Technology in Logansport as a technical designer, and in Auburn and Juarez, Mexico, as a plant manager.

In 1948, he and his close friend, Bob George, built and managed the Logansport Skyline Theatre, one of the first in Indiana. His retirement years were spent traveling and enjoying 27 years of summers with his wife and children and grand and great-grandchildren at their summer home in Hamilton.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Sarah Edith Stanley McClain, whom he married March 11, 1941; five loving children, Richard and Barrie, Logansport, Robert and Kathy, Auburn, Jerry and Mary Ann, Sebring, Fla., Charles, El Paso, Texas, and Sheryl Murphy, Norcross, Ga.; nine dear grandchildren, Jeffery, Nathan, Brian, Matthew, David, Erica, Christopher, Raymond and Mark; and six dear great-grandchildren, Brandt, Lauran, Clark, Katie, Saylor Ann and Moshe; and one loving sister, Charlene Shumaker, Plainfield.
