Joseph W. Olenski, 95, of Milford, died peacefully, on Monday, February 2, 2015. He was born in Bridgeport, Conn., on April 4, 1919, the son of the late Chester and Anna Brzozoska Olenski. Prior to retiring Joseph owned and ran a general trucking business for most of his working life. His life revolved around his family. He was a proud and caring son, brother, father and grandfather.
Joseph is survived by his children, Mark Olenski and his wife MaryJane (Chula Vista, Calif.), Paul S. Olenski (Milford, Conn.), and Reena Olenski Bramblett and her husband Tom (Banks, Ore.). Joseph also leaves behind six brothers and sisters, Helen Rice (Northford, Conn.), Chester Olenski (Skokie, Ill.), Albert Olenski and wife Michele (Milford, Conn.), Anthony Olenski (Milford, Conn.), Henry Olenski and wife Pat (Milford, Conn.) and Irene Eagles and husband Bob (Chatsworth, Calif.),sister-in-law Sophie (MIlford, Conn.) and many nieces and nephews. Lastly, Joseph leaves behind his three grandchildren, Kenneth Oakes, William Bramblett and Daniel Bramblett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Estelle Olenski, and brothers, Stanley and John Olenski.
