GREENFIELD — Joseph W. Constance Sr.
He was born in Holyoke on Feb. 21, 1927, the son of Joseph A. and Julia M. (O’Connor) Constance.
He served in the U.S.
Joe served on the Board of Directors of Greenfield Community College and was past president of the Machine Cutting Tool Industry. Also, he was a member of the Country Club of Greenfield, where he was past president of the board.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, the former Albena Waidlich; a son, Joseph W. Jr. and his wife Mary of New Boston, N.H.; two grandchildren, Michael and Rose Constance, and several nieces and nephews.
A son, John ”Jack” Constance, predeceased him on Oct. 6, 1981.
