Joseph W. Coburn, Jr., 91, of Jackson, NJ, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017, at home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he lived in Lakewood, NJ before moving to Jackson 25 years ago.
Joseph was the owner of the Coburn Corp. and Creative Film in Lakewood, NJ for many years. Creator of numerous patented processes, he was an innovator in plastic film. From limited education he rose to own businesses in both the U.S. and Europe, traveling the world many times over in the process. He worked hard, enjoyed life, and was very generous to his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Susan Coburn, and his son Joseph Coburn.
Joseph is survived by his son Ray Coburn of Jackson, NJ, a brother David Coburn of Georgia, and a sister Esther Henry of Pennsylvania.
