Joseph V. Morgillo, 79, of 1130 Whalley Ave., New Haven passed away Oct. 3, 2009 in Grimes/St. Regis Health Care Center. Born in New Haven Aug. 26, 1930, he was the son of the late Luigi and Maria Rose DellaSelva Morgillo. He was co-founder and treasurer of Morgillo Bros. Florist. He was a member of Fr. Regan Council 3300 in East Haven and John Barry Assembly, Fourth Degree, Knights of Columbus. He is survived by a brother, Albert Morgillo of New Haven; two nephews, Alfonso (Kimberly) Morgillo of Niantic and Louis (Janet Myers) Morgillo III of Salem; three nieces, Patricia (William) Giordano in Florida, Paula (Arnold) Gonzalez of New London and Leslie (Gary) Jones of Niantic; four great nephews, William, Andrew, Tyler & Alexander; three great nieces, Jamie, Teri & Rene. He was predeceased by five brothers, Michael, Ralph, Louis Jr., Pellegrino (Billy) and Michael Morgillo; and two sisters, Theresa and Theresa Morgillo.
