Joseph Thomas Sobierajski passed away peacefully on January 4, 2020. Joe was born on January 26, 1941 to Charles and Anna Sobierajski in Brooklyn, NY. He grew up in Queens where he met his true love Marie and married her on July 14, 1962. Joe loved science and engineering, earning his BS and MS in physics from Alephi University and working in the aerospace industry for 40 years. His career at Northrup Grumman brought him from Long Island to Melbourne, FL where he resided since 1994.
Joe leaves behind a heartbroken family who loved him dearly: his wife of nearly 58 years Marie Sobierajski; his daughter Lisa Avila and her husband Rick Avila of Rexford, NY; his daughter Linette Pilcher and her husband Steven Pilcher of Marietta, GA; his grandchildren Jennifer Avila, Stephanie Avila, Elizabeth Avila, Bradley Pilcher, and Megan Pilcher; his nieces and nephews Peter Sobierajski, Ann Sobierajski-Eljamali, Jane Sobierajski Coburn, Paul Sobierajski, Vincent Rubbo, Donald Rubbo, Stephen Rubbo, Vincent Rubbo, Dominic Rubbo, and Christopher Rubbo.
