Joseph T. Messina Sr., 55, of 30 Mansfield Drive, Northford, passed away Sept. 28, 2012 in The CT. Hospice, Branford. Born in New Haven on May 27, 1957, he was the son of Rose Crisanti Messina of New Haven and the late Joseph A. Messina. He was a member of Local 478, Operating Engineers for 12 years. Prior to that, he worked for Canestri Construction for several years. He was a member of the Hole in the Wall Motorcycle Club from 1978 to 2003. Besides his mother, he is survived by one son, Joseph T. Massina Jr. of Northford; three daughters, Nicole A. Messina of Norwich, Jamie Messina of Montville and Lisa M. Messina of Danielson; one brother, Robert Messina of New Haven; 5 grandchildren and 9 nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Louis Messina.
