Joseph Murray was the son of the late Herman and
Linnie Murray. He was born on April 7, 1930 in Denton, MD. Joseph received his education in the Caroline County Public School System.
Joseph accepted Christ at an early age while attending the Metropolitan Church in Denton, MD. He later renewed his membership at New Beginnings United Methodist Church in Ridgely, MD where he attended until his health began to fail.
Dad Joe worked several jobs, starting at a young age he worked on a farm. He later worked at Caroline Poultry and retired from The Wheton Tubing Company.
Joseph was a devoted member of the Mason’s and he loved playing cards, watching wrestling, going to cookouts, and let’s not forget, he loved to eat (he was crazy about chicken feet).
Dad Joe peacefully transitioned from this life on
April 30, 2018 but was preceded in death by his brothers; Harry Hutchins, Alex Hutchins, Calvin Hutchins,
Thomas Bruce, Herman Murray, Charles Murray, and sisters; Rachel Bryant, Lydia Aires, Thelma Murray, Bernice Nichols and Evelyn C. White.
Joseph leaves to cherish precious memories, his son;
Rodney L. Boyce (Willia) of Greensboro, MD, his grandson; Rondell Emory of Greensboro, MD, a special friend,
Judith Bordley, his road buddy, William Brown and a host of relatives and friends.
